hermetisches Geschlossensein beschreiben kann. Dies betrifft nicht nur ausgeführte Bauten, sondern auch theoretische Konzepte und Visionen. Um sich diesem Topos zu nähern, werden nicht nur offensichtlich für das Blockieren, Distanzieren oder Einschließen entworfene Bautypen wie militärische Bauwerke, Gefängnisse oder das allgemeine Prinzip der Wand behandelt. Die Untersuchung widmet sich auch performativen Elementen der Außenwirkung, subtilen räumlichen Ausgliederungen oder Phänomenen wie Spiegelung und Absenz.
