Das Wissen um betriebswirtschaftliche Grundtatbestände ist eine notwendige Voraussetzung für jeden, der in Betrieben an verantwortlicher Stelle tätig ist oder sich als Studierender auf eine solche Tätigkeit vorbereitet. Auflage sind inhaltliche Überarbeitungen vor allem im achten Kapitel (Externe Unternehmungsrechnung) vorgenommen worden, insbesondere notwendige Aktualisierungen hinsichtlich geltendender Rechtsvorschriften. Zusätzlich wurden in den Ausführungen zur Unternehmensbewertung im sechsten Kapitel notwendige Präzisierungen vorgenommen. Die 19. Auflage ist weiterhin mit der 10.
