Sommario/riassunto

Vom 10. bis zum 13. Juli 2017 war Christof Hamann als Poet in Residence zu Gast an der Universität Duisburg-Essen. Die drei Vorlesungen, die er im Abstand von einem Jahr im Sommer 2018 überarbeitet hat, bilden den Kern des vorliegenden Bandes. Begleitet werden diese drei Vorlesungen erstens von kleinen Tiefenbohrungen zu Themen/Gegenständen der Vorträge: Christof Hamann fragt Marcel Beyer, Gunther Geltinger, Felicitas Hoppe, Tom Schulz und Thomas Meinecke nach ihrem Verhältnis zum Abschreiben, Ansgar Mohnkern und Daniela Hahn besehen sich das Stolpern bei Goethe und Beckett, Filippo Smerilli sucht es in einer Familiengeschichte; Christoph Cox und Thomas Küpper erweitern die Vorlesungen um Essays über Walter Benjamin bzw. über das Zappen als andere Form des Blätterns. Zweitens liegen sieben Essays vor, die das Romanwerk von Hamann untersuchen, überblicksweise (Alexander Honold und Rolf Parr) und exemplarisch (Nicolas Pethes, Hermann Kinder, Stephani Catani, Andreas Erb und Julia Schöll). Susanne Catrein legt eine imaginäre Kartographie der Romanwelten von Hamann vor, Peter Riek zeigt eine Installationsarbeit, die stark von Der Reiter und der Bodensee und Seegfrörne beatmet wurde. Drei Arbeitsproben aus der Schreibwerkstatt (Von der Notiz zum Text) von Jessica Ullrich, Johann Oechsle und Theresa Müller ergänzen den Band ebenso wie eine umfängliche Bibliografie von Christopher Quadt rund um Hamanns literarisches Arbeiten.
