This publication by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) outlines the specific safety guidelines for modifications to nuclear power plants. It forms part of the IAEA Safety Standards Series, which aims to protect health and minimize danger to life and property by setting comprehensive safety standards. The guide covers various aspects of nuclear safety, including radiation, transport, and waste safety. It provides practical examples and methodologies for implementing these standards, serving as a resource for national regulations, safety reviews, and training purposes. The intended audience includes regulatory bodies, nuclear facility operators, and policymakers involved in nuclear safety. |
