thirty chapters examine in detail the interplay between timber harvesting and wildlife, from hunted and protected habitats to invertebrates and large mammal species.Collectively, the contributors suggest that better management is pivotal to the maintenance of the tropics' valuable biodiversity, arguing that we must realize that tropical forests harbor the majority (perhaps 70 to 80 percent) of the world's animal species. Further, they suggest modifications to existing practices that can ensure a better future for our valuable resources. |

que para el segundo volumen se cambió por el de Erytheia, una de las Hespérides más conocidas. Ha sido dirigida por Pedro Bádenas de la Peña (1982-1992), Luis Gil (1993-2005) y José M. Floristán (2006–). En los últimos cuarenta años ha sido el principal órgano de difusión de los estudios y trabajos de investigación en el campo de la bizantinística y del neohelenismo. Erytheia está abierta a todos los estudiosos que deseen utilizar sus páginas para dar a conocer trabajos originales de investigación. Publica estudios y notas relacionados con los diversos campos de la civilización bizantina y neohelénica (lengua, literatura, historia, arte, geografía, filosofía, derecho, etc.). Los trabajos pasan un proceso de selección por pares ciegos. Erytheia cumple los siguientes requisitos de calidad: CNEAI (13/18), ANECA (16/22), LATINDEX (31/33).
