Die Frage nach Qualität und Qualitätsentwicklung in Schule und Unterricht bestimmt seit einigen Jahren zunehmend die Diskussion, sei es in der Praxis oder in Wissenschaft, Bildungspolitik und Öffentlichkeit. Der vorliegende Band nimmt diese aktuelle Diskussion im Blick auf den Religionsunterricht an beruflichen Schulen (BRU) auf. Vor allem durch die neuen Befunde der Empirischen Bildungsforschung entsteht auch für den BRU Handlungsbedarf und können neue Möglichkeiten der Qualitätsentwicklung genutzt werden. Dabei geht es nicht nur um bildungspolitische Erwartungen, sondern an erster Stelle um ein genuin pädagogisches Anliegen: Junge Menschen sollen möglichst effektiv gefördert werden, so dass sie die für eine |

erfolgreiche Lebensführung erforderlichen Fähigkeiten erwerben können. Und nicht zuletzt ist auch der gesellschaftliche Zusammenhalt im Blick, zu dem das Lernen in der Schule beitragen soll. Der Religionsunterricht gehört in der Regel bislang nicht zu den Fächern, die bei solchen Diskussionen im Zentrum stehen. Soweit es um eine erfolgreiche Lebensführung geht oder um den gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt, ist dies kritisch zu sehen. Denn der übliche Fokus auf den traditionellen Hauptfächern (Mathematik und Sprachen) ergänzt um naturwissenschaftliche Fächer erweist sich als zu eng, wenn auch solche weiterreichenden Bildungsziele in den Blick genommen werden. Dieser Band bietet Ergebnisse aus einer Delphi-Befragung von Expert:innen aus der Praxis, empiriebezogene Spezialanalysen zur Fortbildung für den BRU sowie Befunde aus einer Pilotstudie zur Wahrnehmung des Unterrichts aus der Sicht von Schüler:innen. |
