La escritura cuneiforme es una de las más antiguas de la humanidad. Se desarrolló a partir del sexto milenio a. C. en Mesopotamia. Los restos que conservamos son sobre todo textos administrativos, pero también nos han llegado epopeyas y mitos sumerios o el ciclo sobre Gilgameix. Este libro recoge los rasgos básicos de este sistema y repasa el fascinante camino que los investigadores del último siglo y medio han hecho para conseguir entender las inscripciones cuneiformes. |
