Long description: Nahezu alle Indikatoren der postkommunistischen Transformationen Chinas und Russlands zeigten trotz vergleichbarer Ausgangsbedingungen in entgegengesetzte Richtungen. Im Buch werden die divergenten Entwicklungen der beiden Länder durch den Einfluss von Intellektuellen und ihren kulturell geprägten Weltbildern auf die Reformer erklärt. Neben der Analyse der Intellektuellen-Weltbilder bezüglich der Möglichkeiten und Grenzen des gesellschaftlichen Wandels wird gleichfalls untersucht, wie diese Annahmen anhand von Diskursen in der Reformphase geltend gemacht wurden. Durch die Verbindung des Diskursiven Institutionalismus mit Max Webers Weltbildtheorie werden die bisherigen Ergebnisse der Transformationsforschung neu interpretiert und kontextualisiert. |
