Die zweite Auflage von "Modern Construction Envelopes" basiert eigentlich auf den zwei Büchern "Modern Construction Roofs" und "Modern Construction Facades" von Andrew Watts. Beide Bände wurden zu einem einzigen Buch zusammengefasst und inhaltlich zusammengeführt, was die Betrachtung von Fassaden und Dächern als Hüllen ermöglicht. Das ist von besonderem Interesse für Design und der damit verbundenen kreativen Freiheit. Andrew Watts stellt die konstruktiven und materialbezogenen Details anhand aktueller Beispiele von renommierten Architekten vor. Diese Präsentation basiert auf einem leicht verständlichen Text, Fotos und standardisierten Detailzeichnungen sowie 3D-Darstellungen der Bauelemente. Dieser Zugang ermöglicht ein einfaches Verständnis der Komplexität von modernen Hüllen und deren Verwendung als Knowhow für die eigenen Bedürfnisse. Diese neue Auflage beinhaltet 3D-Darstellungen, die dank ihrer Bilder und zusätzlichen wichtigen Erklärungen einfacher zu verstehen sind, als die der ersten Auflage. |

The second edition of Modern Construction Envelopes was originally based on the two books by Andrew Watts, Modern Construction Roofs and Modern Construction Facades . Both volumes were gathered into one single volume and consolidated in terms of content, which permits the consideration of facades and roofs as envelopes. Using current examples by renowned architects, Watts presents the constructive and material-related details. This presentation is based on a text, photos, and standardized detail drawings, as well as 3D representations of the components. The new edition has 3D views that are easier to understand than the first edition, with sharper images and more key explanations. |
