Sommario/riassunto

Recent improvements in statistical methodologies and data availability are facilitating detailed, high-frequency, timely macroeconomic balance sheet analysis. The paper also discusses how these new datasets are enhancing surveillance activities related to balance sheet vulnerabilities.
