Framed Narratives was first published in 1985. Minnesota Archive Editions uses digital technology to make long-unavailable books once again accessible, and are published unaltered from the original University of Minnesota Press editions. The work of French philosophe Denis Diderot (1713-1784) has inspired conflicting reactions in those who encounter him.
