Die Ausgestaltung von Transfers bei Arbeitslosigkeit, Krankheit, Invalidität, Arbeitsunfällen und Berufskrankheiten sowie Leistungen der Mindestsicherung weist in europäischen Ländern Unterschiede auf. Daher liegt es nahe zu analysieren, ob diese Transfers unterschiedliche Umverteilung im Hinblick auf Armut und Ungleichheit bewirken. Die empirische Untersuchung dieser Umverteilungseffekte in Deutschland, Finnland, Frankreich, Italien und im Vereinigten Königreich mit Daten der Luxembourg Income Study 1994/95 und 1999/2000 ergab, dass neben der grundsätzlichen institutionellen Ausgestaltung auch zahlreiche andere Faktoren und Rahmenbedingungen die Umverteilung |
