Der Psychothriller spricht die Sinne der Zuschauer gezielt und intensiv an, wodurch unmittelbare affektive Reaktionen und Momente der Immersion erzeugt werden. Gestalterische Mittel, die nicht in erster Linie kognitiv verarbeitet werden, spielen dabei eine zentrale Rolle, so zum Beispiel Farbgestaltung und Sounddesign. Die ›grauenvollen Atmosphären‹, die dadurch generiert werden, erweisen sich als grundsätzlich für das Filmerleben und sorgen dafür, dass die Zuschauenden konstant zwischen Schreckensmomenten, falscher Sicherheit, empathischer Angleichung und moralischer Abneigung schwanken – ein gänzlich ambivalentes Filmerleben. Noemi Daugaard untersucht, wie die Atmosphären des Psychothrillers zustande kommen und welchen Beitrag Farbgestaltung und Tondesign leisten. Dazu werden genretheoretische, psychologische und ästhetische Konzepte auf die Analyse der visuellen und akustischen Ebenen angewandt, wobei den sensorischen und taktilen Qualitäten der Gestaltungsmittel eine besondere Rolle zugesprochen wird. |
