Sommario/riassunto |
|
This is the story of Mary Gorman who, in 1869, was the first American woman to accept President Sarmiento's invitation to set up normal schools in Argentina. She lived a transnational and transformative life moving along Indian-White frontiers in the U.S. southwest and Argentina and participating in the early education of both countries. This book is based on original research and scholarly bibliography and accessible to both scholarly and general audiences. |
