|
Quelle est la spécificité du monde du travail contemporain ? Comment en saisir la diversité ? Pour cerner les principales évolutions qui le parcourent, certains insistent sur des modifications structurelles, comme la mondialisation des marchés, d'autres préfèrent expliquer le changement du rapport individuel au travail, à travers une plus grande subjectivation des rapports sociaux... Dans cet ouvrage collectif, les auteurs tentent de comprendre la façon dont l'action, en milieu organisé, prend forme et se transforme. Les analyses proposées s'appuient sur la présentation de terrains d'enquêtes variés (centrales nucléaires, bureaucraties, service d'études marketing, banque...) étudiés de manière longue. Quatre questions essentielles en sociologie, explorées sous l'angle de transformations actuelles, sont successivement posées au long du livre : comment le temps de travail, individualisé, labile et continu des organisations contemporaines, structure-t-il les collectifs professionnels ? La sociabilité, qui marque nombre de situations de travail, est-elle autre chose qu'une convivialité permettant de « tenir bon » ? Est-il rationnel pour une entreprise de réitérer des démarches ou des solutions qui ont fait la preuve de leur inefficacité ? Ces initiatives servent-elles à autre chose que ce pourquoi on dit les mener ? Le « métier » constitue-t-il une source de régulation dans des contextes de travail en évolution constante ? Cet ouvrage s'adresse aux chercheurs s'intéressant aux mutations du travail contemporain, aux praticiens désirant prendre de la distance par rapport à ce qu'ils vivent quotidiennement et aux étudiants suivant des cours de sociologie des organisations ou du travail dans leur cursus. |
