In recent years, co-teaching (or a "push-in" of support) has become more prevalent in American schools. Many forms of co-teaching partnerships exist, including special education teachers with general education teachers, English language learning specialists with general education teachers, interventionists with general education teachers, and paraprofessionals taking on an updated, more learning-focused role in the regular classroom.
