Diese Anthologie dokumentiert signifikante, oft vergessene Quellentexte, die sich mit dem Phänomen des Judenhasses auseinandersetzen und es theoretisch zu erklären versuchen. Sie zeigt die Erkenntnisarbeit, die in den zumeist von jüdischen Autoren verfassten Texten steckt und macht die Anstrengung deutlich, die darin liegt, dass diese Reflektionen in den nichtjüdischen Zeitgenossen oft kein intellektuelles Gegenüber fanden. This book, consisting of 37 papers by 50 cucurbit specialists, emphasizes the practical importance of cucurbit investigation, and also provides a broad overview of the family.
