|
This paper examines the U.S. military capability to counter terrorist use of weapons of mass destruction. It describes the terrorist threat to U.S. forces and reasons why terrorists would use these types of weapons. Our current national policy, strategy and doctrine highlight the problem but show a need to improve interagency coordination and cooperation in the fight against terrorism. On the military level, combating the threat is an integral part of our strategy but needs increased emphasis on the planning level. |

|
Sinn und Zweck der Sozialhilfe sind politisch umstritten. Die einen wollen die Beiträge senken, um Missbrauch zu verhindern. Andere fragen provokativ, ob Sozialhilfe eigentlich Armut beseitigen kann. Ausgehend vom aktuellen Stand der Armutsforschung in Deutschland und der Schweiz untersucht der Sozialpädagoge Alban Knecht an vielen Beispielen die aktuellen Argumentationen in der Sozialpolitik und verschiedene sozialrechtliche Regelungen und entwickelt auf dieser Basis Bürgergeld und Grundeinkommens-Modelle wie Kombilohn, negative Einkommensteuer oder RMI - als Alternativen zur Sozialhilfe. Dabei unterstreicht er immer auch die Bedeutung der Sozialen Arbeit in der Armutsbekämpfung und bei der sozio-kulturellen Integration. |
