Das Werk "Lehrbuch der Liebe und Ehe" ist kein erotischer Leitfaden oder Sex-Handbuch. Franz Blei ist der Meinung, dass die Liebe im Vertraulichen und Gewöhnlichen des Alltags auf die Probe gestellt werden muss, da die sich nicht in den Flitterwochen oder nach der ersten Nacht beweist, sondern in den Jahren nach dem ersten Ehejahr.
