|
The human genome encompasses ≈ 860 G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) including 374 non-chemosensory GPCRs. Half of these latter GPCRs recognize (neuro)peptides as natural ligands. GPCRs thus play a pivotal role in neuroendocrine communication. In particular, GPCRs are involved in the neuroendocrine control of feeding behavior, reproduction, growth, hydromineral homeostasis and stress response. GPCRs are also major drug targets and hence possess a strong potential for the development of innovative pharmaceuticals. The aim of this Research Topic is to assemble a series of review articles and original research papers on neuropeptide GPCRs and their ligands that will illustrate the different facets of the studies currently conducted in this domain. |

|
This paper combines financial soundness indicators (FSIs) and stress-testing methodologies to provide a broad assessment of the soundness of Venezuela's banking sector, based on a diagnosis of its structural and transient shortcomings. While the Venezuelan banking sector appears sound under current favorable economic conditions, it remains significantly vulnerable to cyclical downturns-which have been severe in the past. Banks are particularly exposed to interest rate and credit risks. This suggests that the strong FSIs may be partly the result of a conjunctural credit boom in the context of capital controls and very low real interest rates. |

Künste bilden einen genuinen Bereich in der Produktion von Wissen. Sie vermitteln nicht nur bereits vorhandene Erkenntnisse, sondern bringen eine eigene Form hervor. Künstlerisches Wissen steht dabei im Austausch mit anderen kulturellen, sozialen oder politischen Wissensbereichen und ist zugleich mit Praktiken verbunden, die an die Ränder etablierter und konsolidierter Wissensformen führen. Die Beiträger*innen fassen eine Dekade Forschungsarbeit des Graduiertenkollegs »Das Wissen der Künste« zusammen - und stellen transdisziplinäre Ansätze zum Verständnis künstlerischer Wissensgenerierung vor. |
