Die Rede vom politischen Theater – ein Allgemeinplatz – wird in diesem Buch zum ersten Mal auf eine sachliche Basis gestellt, indem die Darstellungsstrategien der Kanzler im Fernsehen aus theaterwissenschaftlicher Perspektive untersucht werden. Unter den Aspekten Inszenierung, Rolle und Figur analysiert der Autor die Darstellungsstile der Kanzler von Adenauer bis Merkel in Wahlspots, Interviews und anderen Fernseh-Formaten. Mit diesem eigenwilligen Ansatz zeigt die innovative Studie, dass es möglich ist, die Inszenierung der Politik jenseits von pauschaler kulturkritischer Medienschelte einerseits und Zynismus andererseits zu beleuchten. |
