Zwischen den Kriegen Postbaurat in Speyer, verwirklichte Heinrich Müller eine Architektur im Dialog mit der Geschichte des jeweiligen Ortes und des allgemeinen kulturellen Gedächtnisses.Müller wechselte 1936 als Professor für Architektur zur damaligen Technischen Hochschule Karlsruhe. Bis heute zeugen der Gerthsen-Hörsaal und die Sporthalle am Forum von seinem Bebauungsplan von 1953 mit dem amerikanischen Ideal der grünen Mitte, eine gute Diskussionsbasis für die Fortentwicklung des KIT-Campus.
