|
Im Zuge des Übergangs zur Informationsgesellschaft vollzieht sich gegenwärtig ein tiefgreifender Wandel, der sämtliche wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Bereiche erfaßt. Als eine treibende Kraft dieser Entwicklung wird die zunehmende Verbreitung neuer Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien angesehen. Diese bergen einerseits Wachstums- und Beschäftigungspotentiale, können jedoch andererseits auch zu einer Rationalisierung des Produktionsprozesses und somit zu einer Einsparung von Arbeitskräften führen. Der Autor setzt sich kritisch mit der Frage auseinander, in welchem Umfang neue Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien einen Beitrag zum Anstieg der Erwerbstätigenzahlen leisten können, und diskutiert darüber hinaus die qualitativen Veränderungen der Arbeitswelt. |
