• Sommario/riassunto: Die Studie untersucht Ps 145 sowie das kleine Hallel (Ps 146-150) und eröffnet einen neuen Blick auf den Schluss des Psalters. Sie bietet eine ausführliche Analyse der Einzelpsalmen und zeigt so erstmals umfassend den intertextuellen Charakter dieser Psalmen auf. Dabei erweisen sich diese Schlusspsalmen als hochreflektierte theologische Texte, die anhand zahlreicher Textbezüge die alttestamentliche Schrifttradition bedenken und in die Redeweise des Hymnus transformieren. In diesen Psalmen begegnen sich die Phänomene ; "Hymnus" und "Schriftauslegung". Ps 145 und 146-150 sind darum als schriftgelehrte Hymnen zu bezeichnen, in denen schriftgelehrte Theologie als Gotteslob formuliert wird. Darüber hinaus geht die Arbeit der Entstehung dieser Psalmengruppe nach und entwickelt die redaktionsgeschichtliche These eines sukzessiven Wachstums innerhalb des kleinen Hallels. Die untersuchten Psalmen erweisen sich je als Einzeltexte, die immer neu einen Abschluss des Psalters gebildet haben. Die Arbeit leistet somit auf mehrfache Weise einen wichtigen Beitrag für die moderne Psalmenforschung.

• Sommario/riassunto: "Taking as its point of departure the lapse of the Licensing Act 1662 in 1695, this book examines the lead up to the passage of the Statute of ; Anne 1709 and charts the movement of copyright law throughout the eighteenth century, culminating in the House of Lords decision in Donaldson v Becket (1774). The established reading of copyright's development throughout this period, from the 1709 Act to the pronouncement in Donaldson, is that it was transformed from a publisher's right to an author's right; that is, legislation initially designed to regulate the marketplace of the bookseller and publisher evolved into an instrument that functioned to recognise the proprietary inevitability of an author's intellectual labours. The historical narrative which unfolds within this book presents a challenge to that accepted orthodoxy.
