L'épreuve qui sous-tend la tragédie spécifique a notre temps est celle que les philosophes nomment la « séparation ». Cette épreuve marque, entre autres choses, l'arrachement de l'agir humain aux sources où celui-ci puise, de manière participative, son pouvoir de création. Elle est aujourd'hui à l'origine de l'impuissance de cet agir, face aux défis éthiques et historiques, à faire « œuvre » de l'existence, c'est-à-dire à convertir la profondeur de sa béance en une profondeur habitée. L'art - qui est le paradigme de tout agir à l'œuvre - annonce cette inéluctable « perte de fond », en dit la souffrance, et tente de l'assumer en une ultime reprise. La pensée, de même, a pour tâche, non pas seulement de faire de la séparation une nécessité, mais d'en opérer la genèse et de tracer la voie de son dépassement critique. L'auteur se propose, â travers l'interprétation de grands textes philosophiques, centrés sur la problématique de l'imagination, de renouveler la compréhension de l'enracinement fondamental de l’agir et des modalités de son ontologie. |
