He researches, teaches and trains on good university teaching. In 2014, his dissertation was awarded the Johannes-Wildt-Nachwuchspreis für hochschuldidaktische Forschung by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hochschuldidaktik. He is a Teaching Fellow 2019 of the Stifterverband in the Fellowship Programme for Innovations in Higher Education Teaching.
