Sommario/riassunto |
|
In this candid and revelatory memoir, Erin White shares her profound hunger for both romantic and divine love. Both desires arrived unexpectedly and profoundly transformed her. In the 1990s, White spent Saturday nights with her girlfriend and Sunday mornings in Catholic confirmation classes. Gay marriage legislation was sweeping the nation and the lesbian baby boom was well underway. Could she be both Catholic and gay? White reveals her yearnings with bittersweet conviction, plumbing the depths of heart and soul. |

Among the numerous guides and reference books that appeared during this period was a series of texts by Song Yingxing (1587-1666?), a minor local official living in southern China. His Tiangong kaiwu, the longest and most prominent of these works, documents the extraction and processing of raw materials and the manufacture of goods essential to everyday life, from yeast and wine to paper and ink to boat |
