"The ICP's goal is to prevent FBI employees from violating the laws and policies that govern their work by: (1) managing the Ethcis and Standards of Conduct program (ethics program) and (2) identifying and reducing legal compliance risks in operations FBI-wide and at the program level. The FBI's Office of Integrity and Compliance (OIC) manages the program. The OIC's mission is to "develop, implement and oversee a program that ensures that there are processes and procedures in place that facilitate FBI compliance with both the letter and spirit of all applicable laws, regulations, and policies." The purpose of this Office of Inspector General (OIG) review was to evaluate the effectiveness of the ICP."--Executive digest. |
