Researchers at the Center for Creative Leadership reviewed the assumptions of their original derailment studies to determine if the



factors identified in the United States in the 1980s have stood the test of time and whether these factors are also applicable in other cultures. This publication reviews the Center's research on executive derailment, presents recent findings for North Americans and Europeans, and compares derailment and success themes over time and across cultures.
