He is a founding member of the Society for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics (SABE). Aaron Keathley is an undergraduate student at Wayne State University, USA. He plays lacrosse on the university team, helps with food banks in Detroit, and immerses himself in behavioral economics and political science. |

Origins have shaped contemporary literature. This volume is the first to take this into account from a cross-genre and intermedial perspective. It examines narratives of pluralized origins, the intersectional dissolution of their form-aesthetic boundaries leading to experiences of multidimensional vulnerability, attempts at upward class mobility, utopian consciousness, and dreams of the potential to be different. |
Plurale Herkunftserzählungen prägen die gegenwärtige Literatur. Der Plural konterkariert und unterläuft dabei monolithische Konzepte personaler Identität und zeigt die Subjekte als multidimensional verwoben, u.a. in ihren sozialen, familiären oder religiösen Kontexten. In intersektionalen Perspektiven fokussieren Autor*innen wie Saša Stanišić, Christian Baron, Sharon Dodua Otoo oder Deniz Ohde auf Formen einander überlagernder Gewalt und Exklusion. Sie behandeln in ihren Texten Migrationserfahrungen, geschlechtliche, sexuelle oder religiöse Identitätszuschreibungen, (versuchte) Klassenaufstiege wie auch Formen utopischen Bewusstseins. Im Zentrum stehen Poetiken, die diese widersprüchliche Multidimensionalität darzustellen vermögen, die sich zum einen in produktiven Austausch mit anderen Wissensfeldern wie den Gender- und Postcolonial Studies oder der Soziologie setzen, zum anderen jedoch auch darüber hinausweisende ästhetische Eigenlogiken erzeugen. Der Band stellt eine erste gattungsübergreifende und intermediale Auseinandersetzung mit dem Phänomen in monographischer Länge dar. Er untersucht das Zusammentreffen und die Neuverhandlung verschiedener prägender zeitgenössischer Diskurse, die im Fragen nach Herkünften kulminieren. |
