Welcome to ACM SIGMETRICS / IFIP Performance 2022! We are very happy to welcome you to the sylvan campus of IIT Bombay, adjoining the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (home to a variety of wildlife including leopards that often visit us on the campus), and the Powai and Vihar lakes (with resident crocodiles). The campus is home to a wide variety of birds and other flora and fauna and also about 15,000 students and 10,000 faculty and staff, a small city in a 400 acre campus. The campus is also home to the Victor Menezes Convention Centre (VMCC) that will host the in-person version of the campus.With waning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are moving back towards a normal year, albeit a bit slower than many of us would like. In this march towards pre-pandemic normalcy, we are experimenting with a hybrid conference and two mirrors in this year's edition of the conference. The main conference is being planned with two mirrors: the IST mirror will be a hybrid event with both in-person and online participation and will be a day event according to Mumbai time. All the contributed talks will be repeated in the purely online version that will be held during the EDT day.
