The 2022 edition of the International Conference on Advanced Visual Interfaces (Frascati, June 8-10, 2022) received 62 long-paper submissions and 27 short-paper submissions on a wide range of HCI-related topics, including interactive devices and interaction, information visualization, virtual and augmented reality, user studies, social care, security, design, end-user development, car, and driving.We accepted 15 long papers (24.2% acceptance rate) and 15 out of the 27 short papers. We also accepted eleven additional long papers as short papers, totaling 41 high-quality oral presentations.In addition, 30 posters and eight demos were accepted by the program committee, completing the technical presentations.Invited speakers of this edition were:Alan Dix, Swansea University, Wales, UK, with the keynote "Follow your nose: history frames the future."Stephen Brewster, University of Glasgow, UK, with the keynote "eXtended Reality and Passengers of the Future."Kristina Höök, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, with the keynote "Soma Design ? Intertwining Aesthetics, Ethics, and Movement."A vibrant workshop- and tutorial session offered a forum to discuss exciting challenges: AVI 2022 hosted ten workshops and three



tutorials in parallel on Monday and Tuesday, the 6th and 7th of June.
