Nel nostro paese i rumeni sono circa un milione, quasi un quarto degli immigrati complessivi. Nonostante siano cittadini comunitari, sono spesso oggetto di ostilità da parte degli italiani: un dato paradossale se si pensa che a migrare sono soprattutto lavoratori che trovano occupazione nel settore edile. Una realtà esplorata in modo approfondito da questa ricerca condotta in presa diretta, che si avvale di interviste con immigrati rumeni nelle loro abitazioni, in centri di accoglienza, roulotte, baracche; di materiali raccolti in occasione di festività religiose, matrimoni e alcuni soggiorni in Romania; ma soprattutto di un periodo di "osservazione partecipante coperta". Lavorando per alcuni mesi, senza svelare la propria identità di ricercatore, in un cantiere edile assieme a muratori e manovali rumeni e di altre nazionalità (pakistani, tunisini, italiani), l'autore ha potuto osservare senza filtri i rapporti (tra connazionali, con gli altri colleghi, con gli imprenditori) e la disposizione dei rumeni verso il lavoro e la vita in Italia. |

This book reports on cutting-edge legal, ethical, social and economic issues relating to robotics and automation, human-machine interaction and artificial intelligence, in different application areas. It discusses important problems such as robotic taxation, social inequality, protection of neuro-human and children rights, among others.
