"The Caunterburie tales" and "The romaunt of the rose" each has separate divisional title; foliation and register are continuous.

A variant of the edition with title "The woorkes .." and Chaucer's coat of arms on title page with date 1560 at top. Another state of the edition with title page reading "The workes .. 1561". The title page and prologue to the Canterbury Tales are printed on [cross]⁶ A⁴, with illustrations.
