|
La poésie de langue d’oc, depuis Frédéric Mistral, s’enracine dans un paysage : celui de la langue dont le poète décide de s’emparer pour en faire celle de son écriture. Au xxe siècle, les poètes d’oc, enrichis des multiples influences qu’ils ont pu recevoir, donnent à ce mouvement une richesse nouvelle : la langue du paysage qu’ils ont élu, aussi bien celui de leurs origines que celui qu’ils se sont forgé de toutes pièces, vient modeler et illuminer le poème. Et chaque poème, à son tour, devient le paysage d’un imaginaire où les origines, métamorphosées, se reflètent et se transforment, à l’infini. Le poème recrée la langue dont il est issu, et lui confère des rythmes spécifiques et des couleurs singulières. L’essai de Philippe Gardy part à la recherche des paysages du poème de six poètes d’oc exemplaires du milieu et de la seconde moitié du xxe siècle : Léon Cordes, Robert Lafont, Bernard Lesfargues, Georges Reboul, Max Rouquette et Jean-Calendal Vianès. |

"In Sex and the Office, Kim Elsesser delves into how issues as varied as sexual harassment, workplace romance, spousal jealousy, and communication styles create barriers between men and women at work. These invisible barriers, which Elsesser labels the "sex partition," tend to have the greatest impact on the careers of women, because men typically still dominate senior management, and connections with senior managers are essential for career advancement. Elsesser describes how senior male employees prefer to stick with other men, especially when it comes to dinners, drinks, late-night meetings, or business trips. When it's time for promotions or pay raises, these same executives are more likely to show preference to the employees with whom they feel most comfortable--other men. Elsesser doesn't blame men for the sex partition; instead, she describes how some common organizational practices create barriers between the sexes.
