|
Si le concept de « perspectivisme » s’est largement imposé dans les usages en philosophie et, au-delà, dans de nombreuses sciences humaines, il est loin de faire l’objet d’une définition tant soit peu stabilisée ou d’un statut historiographique bien identifié dans le champ de l’histoire de la philosophie. L’enjeu de ce volume est de réunir plusieurs historiens de la philosophie - spécialistes de philosophies, d’époques et de traditions diverses, des sophistes et du néo-platonisme jusqu’à la phénoménologie et la philosophie du langage contemporaine - pour faire apparaître la grande variété des types de perspectivisme philosophique et contribuer à reconstruire diachroniquement certaines des étapes les plus marquantes de l’histoire de la philosophie des points de vue. À travers une série de douze études, les auteurs cherchent à mettre en lumière la fonction structurante de la perspectivité dans les différents systèmes où elle opère, le contexte épistémique et historique qui la porte à l’agenda métaphysique, les problèmes et limites de la logique du « point de vue » et les diverses stratégies conceptuelles que les philosophes élaborent quand ils s’emparent de l’idée perspectiviste et de ses multipels aspects. |
