La stimulante collaboration entre recherche en sciences sociales et recherche et développement du secteur muséal ouvre sur une analyse approfondie de la notion contemporaine de médiation numérique muséale, qui permet l’exploration du renouvellement de la diffusion culturelle. L’appropriation des technologies numériques par les musées donne lieu à de riches propositions multimédia, dans une ambivalence entre proximité net mise à distance. Cet ouvrage propose d’analyser les conséquences de cette ambivalence qui rejoint celle des usages numériques des publics de contenus muséaux par les dispositifs et réseaux numériques. Selon une approche longitudinale, considérant plus d’une décennie de recherche sur les usages numériques, l’analyse porte sur les résultats d’études dans les musées et à distance sur l’Internet muséal et avec des applications mobiles. L’articulation avec les réflexions des professionnels des musées invités au cœur de l’ouvrage présente l’intérêt original de regards croisés sur les enjeux du numérique muséal. La démarche critique, qui consiste à tenter de démontrer une nouvelle diffusion culturelle à l’heure des relations numériques entre publics et musées, offre la possibilité de mettre en lumière des enjeux de la communication numérique muséale. |
