Le coassement du chœur des Grenouilles qui accompagne la catabase de Dionysos, parti aux Enfers chercher un bon poète tragique, est sans doute le vers le plus célèbre d’Aristophane : les animaux de son théâtre méritaient une étude qui cherchât à vérifier en quoi ils pouvaient définir l’œuvre du poète comique au point d’en devenir l’emblème.
