Conçue pour des lecteurs de culture française, dans une perspective comparative, cet essai introductif place quelques repères sur le terrain faussement proche (« Dostoïevski et Tolstoï »), mais en réalité mal connu de la littérature russe. Ces repères, qui restent le plus souvent implicites dans les ouvrages disponibles, sont abordés ici dans une démarche progressive, à partir des stéréotypes les plus courants (la francophonie du « prince russe », « l’âme russe »), pour aboutir aux questions les plus pertinentes, comme celle de la relation singulière de la littérature russe avec « la vérité », qui lui donne une coloration prophétique, exotique. Les spécificités de la littérature russe, ses différences avec la littérature française, sont présentées de la manière la plus accessible possible, à l’aide de quelques outils parmi les plus largement utilisés dans les études littéraires, comme la théorie du « champ littéraire » de Bourdieu, ou la réflexion de Foucault sur la « fonction-auteur ». An unprecedented intercultural approach to russian literature is presented here in the most accessible way possible. |
