|
Le bourg haut-savoyard de Thyez se développe en rive droite de la vallée de l’Arve, quelques kilomètres en aval de la ville de Cluses et au pied méridional des contreforts du Haut Giffre. L’Arve, torrent alpin, affluent du Rhône, s’écoule du Mont-Blanc jusqu’au lac Léman, dans une vallée glaciaire. Le site est implanté dans l’ombilic de Bonneville, au débouché du défilé-verrou de Magland. Quand bien même son ancien nom n’a pas laissé de trace dans les sources textuelles, l’occupation antique a fait, de longue date, l’objet de découvertes fortuites, rassemblées à partir des années 1960. Depuis une trentaine d’années, des opérations d’archéologie préventive ont permis de retracer l’évolution du site entre le milieu du Ier siècle avant J.-C. et le IVe siècle, voire jusqu’à la période alto-médiévale. L’ouvrage rassemble des données issues, pour l’essentiel, de trois opérations d’archéologie préventive localisées aux extrémités orientale et occidentale du bourg. Les sites des Avullions, en amont, et de la Grande Charrière, en aval, offrent désormais un tableau renouvelé de l’évolution de l’agglomération de Thyez durant la période romaine. L’analyse géoarchéologique permet, en outre, de disposer aujourd’hui d’une première représentation de l’occupation du territoire durant l’Antiquité et d’une problématique renouvelée de l’histoire alluviale du secteur avant, pendant et après la colonisation des berges. diachronique des processus hydrosédimentaires, bien qu’incomplète et de nature ou temporalité extrêmement variées, permet d’approcher notamment la relation des riverains avec les fluctuations de l’Arve, durant l’Antiquité ; dépôts de crue ou empreintes d’érosion inter stratifiés dans les phases d’occupation semblent toutefois démontrer une capacité de résilience et une certaine adaptabilité des populations. The two-volume set LNCS 14634 and 14635 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 27th European Conference on Applications of Evolutionary Computation, EvoApplications 2024, held as part of EvoStar 2024, in Aberystwyth, UK, April 3–5, 2024, and co-located with the EvoStar events, EvoCOP, EvoMUSART, and EuroGP. The 51 full papers presented in these proceedings were carefully reviewed and selected from 77 submissions.
