Nel XVI secolo, i missionari europei portarono in Cina una religione straniera e globale. I convertiti hanno poi trasformato questa nuova religione in una locale. Concentrandosi sulle comunità cattoliche ancora attive della contea di Fuan nel nord-est del Fujian, questo progetto affronta tre questioni principali. Perché le persone si sono convertite? In che modo convertiti e missionari hanno trasformato una religione globale e straniera in una religione locale? Cosa ci dice la localizzazione del Cristianesimo a Fuan sulla relazione tra la società cinese tardo imperiale e la religione? Le implicazioni dello studio si estendono oltre la questione del Cristianesimo in Cina ai campi più ampi della storia religiosa e sociale e della prima storia moderna delle relazioni interculturali globali. Il libro suggerisce che il Cristianesimo divenne parte di uno spazio religioso locale pluralistico preesistente. L'autore sostiene che sottovalutiamo la tolleranza della società tardo imperiale per l'"eterodossia". L'analisi di Fuan offre un resoconto originale di come una località ha creato la propria cultura religiosa nella Cina Ming-Qing. |

short. Homophobic and transphobic behaviour is still painfully common in schools across Europe. A significant number of LGBT pupils experience homophobic and transphobic bullying, and they are more likely to experience violence than heterosexual peers. This publication explores the underlying attitudes towards homosexuality in eight European countries: Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Turkey. It is the product of a strategic partnership (KA2) between fifteen European secondary and higher education institutions, launched in 2016 under the auspices of the European Commisson’s ERASMUS+ programme. The project supported by this partnership, Homo’poly, promotes greater understanding and acceptance of homosexuality with the explicit aim of improving the school life of LGB pupils. |
