Sommario/riassunto

The International Conference on Computational Science and its Applications was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in August 2007. The conference drew leading researchers in computational science who came to share their findings and discuss the latest developments and applications in the field. This three-volume set constitutes the refereed proceedings of the conference. The outstanding papers in these volumes present a wealth of original research results in the field of computational science, from foundational issues in computer science and mathematics to advanced applications in almost all sciences that use computational techniques. The refereed papers are grouped according to the five major conference themes: computational methods; algorithms and applications; high performance technical computing and networks; advanced and emerging applications; geometric modeling, graphics and visualization information systems and technologies.
