Während die Welt der Griechen noch wusste, so Friedrich Nietzsche, dass die »Kunst des Bildners« und die »unbildliche Kunst der Musik« im »offenen Zwiespalt« nebeneinanderher gehen, wird die sorgsame Trennung zwischen den Sphären in der Moderne zunehmend fraglich.Die Beiträge des Bandes wenden sich auf unterschiedliche Art und Weise diesem ambig gewordenen Verhältnis von Bild und Klang, Sehen und Hören zu, ohne das eine auf das andere zu reduzieren. In dieser Hinsicht betreten sie echtes Neuland, sowohl in der Beleuchtung des Phänomens »Bild und Klang« als harmonischer und zugleich ambivalenter Konjunktion, als auch in der Beschreibung und Vermessung einer daraus abgeleiteten Theorie der Relation, die historisch wie systematisch als Beitrag zur Erforschung des Konstruktes »Moderne« gewertet werden muss. |
