Dans l'année qui suivit le décès de sa première épouse Else von Stritzky, en 1921, le philosophe Ernst Bloch écrivit une sorte de journal qui livre quantité d'informations sur son œuvre et sa personnalité. Mais surtout, ce texte émouvant veut faire mémoire d'une femme exceptionnelle. Paru seulement après la mort de Bloch, il donne un accès privilégié à sa philosophie de la mort et du Royaume. « Il se peut bien que parfois la “vie” ait reculé devant l'utopiste, mais autre chose, son existence ébauchée dans une autre sphère est devenue surabondante ; Else a représenté cette autre sphère d'une manière indescriptible. » |
In the year following the death of his first wife Else von Stritzky, in 1921, the philosopher Ernst Bloch wrote a sort of diary which provides a wealth of information about her personality and work. But above all, this moving text aims to remember an exceptional woman. Published only after Bloch's death, it gives privileged access to his philosophy of death and the Kingdom. “It may well be that sometimes “life” has retreated before the utopian, but something else, its existence sketched out in another sphere has become superabundant; Else represented this other sphere in an indescribable way. |
