Zum anderen bietet dieser Sammelband einen guten methodischen Einstieg in zahlreiche Probleme der tschechischen Sprachwissenschaft. Die Grundbegriffe der Linguistik, die tschechische Elementargrammatik und Lesekenntnisse im Tschechischen sind allerdings notwendige Voraussetzungen hierfür. Die Auswahl der Beiträge erfolgte in erster Linie nach dem Gesichtspunkt, welche Texte sich für Veranstaltungen in der Bohemistik am besten eignen.
