In der alttestamentlichen Wissenschaft wird derzeit die Frage nach der |

lokalen Herkunft des Gottes Yahwe, nach seiner typologischer Einordnung in das Pantheon Syriens, Israels/Palästinas und Nordarabiens in der späten Bronzezeit und frühen Eisenzeit sowie nach den Anfängen der kultischen Verehrung Yahwes heftig diskutiert. Die in diesem Band gesammelten Beiträge gehen dieser Frage aus archäologischer und literaturgeschichtlicher Perspektive nach. Dazu werden sämtliche gegenwärtig verfügbaren epigraphischen und ikonographischen Befunde ausgewertet und die einschlägigen alttestamentlichen Texten aus den Büchern Exodus und Richter und den Psalmen literatur- und religionsgeschichtlich analysiert. Eine Einführung in die Forschungsgeschichte sowie grundsätzliche religionswissenschaftliche Überlegungen zu den Anfängen der Verehrung einer Gottheit runden den Band ab. |
This compendium examines the origins of the God Yahweh, his place in the Syrian-Palestinian and Northern Arabian pantheon during the bronze and iron ages, and the beginnings of the cultic veneration of Yahweh. Contributors analyze the epigraphic and archeological evidence, apply fundamental considerations from the cultural and religious sciences, and analyze the relevant Old Testament texts. |

intéressant de dépasser ce cadre géographique du côté de l’Algérie, afin de faciliter une approche comparative. Restreindre l’étude aux seuls États-Unis aurait limité le phénomène migratoire au risque de le déformer, voire de le trahir. Cet ouvrage présente plusieurs méthodes d’investigation du phénomène « émigration française » : essai statistique sur la série des passeports de Bordeaux, histoire orale et interview des Basques de Baïgorri, analyses de sources variées et jusqu’à ce jour peu ou pas utilisées telles que les archives militaires (arrondissement de Sarrebourg en Lorraine), archives de la police parisienne en 1848, celles de la préfecture de la Seine. Les auteurs ont aussi utilisé des sources plus classiques, celles du mini stère des Affaires Étrangères, les séries M des Archives départementales, et des sources imprimées (récits et commentaires de voyageurs français aux États-Unis) pour en tirer des informations nouvelles sur l’émigration française. La variété des sources et les différentes méthodes d’approche font l’originalité du présent volume. Elles contribuent à donner une image concrète de l’émigration et montrent bien les différentes voies d’accès à la connaissance du sujet. |
