• Sommario/riassunto: Arthur Schnitzlers 1897 entstandene Erzählung Der Ehrentag führt ein Motiv aus, das mehrfach in seinen Notizen erscheint: das des vermeintlichen oder inszenierten Ruhms. Hier geht es um einen erfolglosen Schauspieler, dem ein böser Streich gespielt wird: Bei einem seiner Auftritte in einer unbedeutenden Nebenrolle wird er durch bestellten Applaus empfangen und bejubelt, woraufhin er sich aus Scham erhängt. Diese Alltagstragödie gehört zu dem Stoffkomplex des gescheiterten Talents, an dem sich Schnitzler im Frühwerk abarbeitete. Verhakt mit einer Nebenhandlung von Eifersucht und Trennung, wurde der Text mit vier weiteren novellistischen Studien, die Variationen des Themas ,Abschied' bilden, 1898 im Sammelband Die Frau des Weisen veröffentlicht. Die Historisch-kritische Ausgabe präsentiert das nachgelassene Manuskript faksimiliert in Originalgröße mit den entsprechenden Transkriptionen. Der integrale Text folgt dem Erstdruck in der Zeitschrift Die Romanwelt; er wird ergänzt durch einen ; Variantenapparat bis zur Ausgabe letzter Hand sowie einen kultur- und sprachhistorischen Kommentar. Entstehungs- und Druckgeschichte werden ausführlich dargestellt. Auf diese Weise lässt sich die Genese des Textes nun erstmals zur Gänze nachverfolgen.

• Sommario/riassunto: This book presents an exhaustive study of atomicity from a mathematics perspective in the framework of multi-valued non-additive measure theory. Applications to quantum physics and, more generally, to the fractal theory of the motion, are highlighted. The study details the atomicity problem through key concepts, such as the atom/pseudoatom, atomic/nonatomic measures, and different types of non-additive set-valued multifunctions. Additionally, applications of these concepts are brought to light in the study of the dynamics of complex systems. The first chapter prepares the basics for the next chapters. In the last chapter, applications of atomicity in quantum physics are developed and new concepts, such as the fractal atom are introduced. The mathematical perspective is presented first and the discussion moves on to connect measure theory and quantum physics through quantum measure theory. New avenues of research, such as fractal/multifractal measure theory with potential applications in life sciences, are opened.
