The essays of this volume are mainly lectures given at the international conference held at the Center for Intercultural Theology and the Study of Religion at the University of Salzburg on the occasion of Raimon Panikkars 100th birthday. They look at the life and thought of this outstanding pioneer of interreligious dialogue - already by descendancy rooted in two cultures and religions (Europe and Asia, Christianity and Hinduism) - not only from theological, philosophical, religious studies and spiritual perspectives, but also from a biographical-personal view and investigate into the relevance and inspiration of his life and works for today. |
"Raimon Panikkar war einer der bekanntesten und produktivsten christlichen interreligiösen Denker des 20. Jahrhunderts. Durch seine Herkunft in zwei Kulturen und Religionen (Christentum und Hinduismus) verwurzelt, entfaltete sich sein Leben als interreligiöser Mensch zwischen Mittelmeer und Pazifischem Ozean, Tiber und Ganges, den Pyrenäen und dem Himalaya. In his master thesis Thorsten Will proposes the substantial information content of protein complexes involving transcription factors in the context of gene regulatory networks, designs the first computational approaches to predict such complexes as well as their regulatory function and verifies the practicability using data of the well-studied yeast S.cereviseae. The novel insights offer extensive capabilities towards a better understanding of the combinatorial control driving transcriptional regulation.
