Sommario/riassunto |
|
This title examines the Virginia Tech shooting in the context of the dysfunctional mental health service system in the United States. The personal history of the perpetrator, Seung-Hui Cho, is presented, along with the problems and deficiencies that occurred in dealing with the threats posed by his mental health illness. The university's handling of the events leading up to the shooting and the actual event are assessed, as is the subsequent work of the panel charged by the governor to review the shooting and provide recommendations for preventing future incidents. |
