Daniel Schallmo, Volker Herbort und Oliver D. Doleski diskutieren, dass – ähnlich der Situation in nahezu allen Lebens- und Wirtschaftsbereichen moderner Industriegesellschaften – auch die Energiewirtschaft dem gegenwärtig maßgeblichen Digitalisierungstrend unterliegt. Sie verweisen auf die herausragende Rolle der digitalen Transformation von Geschäftsmodellen. Angesichts der aktuellen Relevanz erläutern die Autoren für Betroffene die wesentlichen Begriffe im Kontext der digitalen Transformation von Geschäftsmodellen und stellen anschließend eine Roadmap vor, die ein praxistaugliches Vorgehen mit fünf Phasen umfasst.
